Several notable appointments and promotions have been announced across the UK insurance market.
DUAL UK has named Stephen Davis (pictured above, left) as regional manager for the Midlands and South West and Jayne Sprigg (pictured above, centre) as business development manager for the Midlands.
Davis, with more than 25 years of insurance experience including senior roles at RSA and Zurich Insurance, will lead DUAL’s regional growth strategy targeting SMEs and mid-market businesses. Sprigg joined DUAL in May, bringing almost 25 years of experience in underwriting and business development from Avia and Allianz.
Rob Corner, chief distribution officer at DUAL UK, said the appointments were key steps in expanding beyond London, following positive broker responses to recent growth in the North West. A new office in Bristol is also planned for later this year.
Chris Rash (pictured above, right), CEO of AIG UK since March 2025, has joined the London Market Group board as the International Underwriting Association representative. Rash’s previous experience includes senior leadership at Talbot Underwriting, Starstone, and RSA.
Sean McGovern, LMG chair, welcomed Rash’s appointment, highlighting his expertise as valuable for advancing London’s status as a global insurance hub.
Mosaic Insurance has promoted Yosha DeLong (pictured immediately above, right) to global engagement officer, expanding her responsibilities to drive market engagement and growth across multiple business lines. DeLong has led Mosaic’s cyber division since its inception in 2021.
Brian Bonkoski (pictured immediately above, left) will join Mosaic as global head of cyber in June. Based in Philadelphia, he has 20 years of underwriting and distribution leadership experience with firms including Chubb and AIG. He will oversee Mosaic’s global cyber product development and distribution efforts.
Allianz UK has appointed Akhil Lalwani as chief data officer to lead its centralised Data Centre of Excellence. Lalwani will oversee data strategy, governance, architecture, engineering and business intelligence.
He brings experience from Convex Insurance and Prudential, where he led data platforms focused on digital growth and customer experience. Allianz expects his leadership to advance innovation through data-driven strategies.
The IUA has created a new position to support early-career professionals in the London insurance market. Ela Metalia (pictured below) will lead the ‘IUA Futures’ programme, coordinating networking, training, and education initiatives aimed at practitioners within their first five years.
IUA CEO Chris Jones said the initiative will help recruit and retain talent critical to the London Market’s future.
Westfield Specialty International has appointed Amerjit Grewal as chief actuary. Grewal, who joins from AEGIS London where she was deputy chief actuary, will oversee reserving, capital management, pricing, and strategic risk assessment.
Graham Evans, EVP and head of International Insurance, said Grewal’s expertise will be instrumental in supporting Westfield’s growth ambitions.
Verisk has appointed Paul Latarche as chief digital officer for its specialty business solutions division. Latarche will lead digital strategy across UK and international markets, supporting the global expansion of Whitespace, Verisk’s digital platform for re/insurance brokers and underwriters.
Latarche returns to Verisk after senior roles at Swiss Re and as co-founder of Rulebook, an insurance technology platform acquired by Verisk. The company sees his appointment as central to driving digital innovation and growth.
