Several firms in the insurance sector have announced senior appointments as they aim to strengthen leadership and support growth across key areas.
Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited has named Jon Kattman as head of inland marine.
Kattman, with over 14 years of underwriting experience, joined Aspen in 2017 and previously served as senior vice president, head of field for inland marine. He will now lead the company’s inland marine underwriting team from Atlanta, overseeing strategy and risk management.
Commenting on his appointment, Kattman said: “I am delighted to assume the role of head of inland marine. The inland marine insurance market continues to evolve dynamically, and alongside our team of experts, we will continue to deliver best-in-class service for our clients.”
Insurtech company Send Technology Solutions has promoted Shelley McCormack (pictured above, left) to chief of staff to support the company’s international expansion.
McCormack joined Send from Aviva, where she managed the rollout of Send’s Underwriting Workbench for Global Corporate and Specialty. Since joining Send, she has led delivery, customer success and strategic projects.
Reporting to CEO Andy Moss, McCormack will focus on driving cross-functional collaboration and supporting strategic growth with customers and partners.
AXA XL has appointed Tavpraneet Singh (pictured above, right) as chief underwriting officer for international financial lines across APAC and Europe, effective June 1.
He succeeds Ana Dores, who has taken on a new role as country leader for Iberia.
Singh will oversee underwriting strategy for professional indemnity, management liability, financial institutions, cyber and mergers & acquisitions in the regions. He has held several senior positions at AXA XL, including regional product leader for financial lines and cyber since 2021.
