StoneRidge Partners with Shireen Al-Attar to launch Bound Insurance Brokers

StoneRidge Insurance Brokers (SIB Corp.) has announced a new partnership with insurance veteran Shireen Al-Attar (pictured) to establish Bound Insurance Brokers in the Greater Toronto Area.

According to SIB, Bound Insurance Brokers will operate as a full-service insurance firm, offering commercial and personal lines. The new business will focus on delivering a broad selection of insurance solutions, emphasizing client servicing and market access.

“We will be able to offer access to a broad range of markets with both commercial and personal lines capabilities and deliver the personalized service that clients expect,” Al-Attar said.

Al-Attar brings 23 years of experience in the insurance sector and has previously held senior leadership roles at several brokerages in the Greater Toronto Area.

Ted Puccini, president and CEO of SIB, said the joint venture will benefit from Al-Attar’s industry knowledge and experience.

“Shireen will bring a tremendous amount of experience and industry knowledge to the SIB team. She is a great fit for our client-oriented and sales-focused culture,” Puccini said.

Last month, the brokerage also announced its acquisition of Jim Kelly Insurance Brokers Ltd. as part of its ongoing expansion across Ontario. This marks SIB’s first completed deal of 2025, with two additional acquisitions expected to finalize in the next three months.

SIB has been active in the Canadian insurance market through a series of acquisitions and strategic partnerships.

The company operates over 140 offices across Canada, handling more than $1 billion in gross written premiums.

Earlier in the year, SIB entered a partnership with Crossroads Insurance, a full-service brokerage operating in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This collaboration aimed to enhance SIB's capabilities in the region, allowing Crossroads to maintain its independence while leveraging SIB's resources.
